Candlelight Cabinetry is located in Lockport, NY - thirty minutes outside of Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Founded in 1990 by John Yakich, Candlelight Cabinetry began as a small shop making cabinets for local dealerships. Expedite

Starting at: $12.00/hour

SUMMARY: The primary responsibility for this position is to expedite rush, catch-up and rework parts. This is accomplished by 1) Staging these type parts for the finish room and 2) Following the route map on a minimum of an hourly basis to remove these type parts out of the finish room and to communicate with the designated people in each department listed on the Parts Expeditor procedure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Stage reworks, rush, catch-ups by priority for the finish room.
2. Upgrade parts to 911 as needed.
3. Follow designated route to move expedite parts.
4. Communicates to department Team Leaders and lead people what is priority.
5. Take instructions from Team Leader.
6. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Helper - pick up and move oversize cabinets/panels and rotate parts in the paint booth.
2. Deliver 911 parts to the paint room.
3. Preps all cabinets for paint by puttying, sanding and taping.
4. Delivers parts back to staging.
5. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

1. Knowledge of sanding techniques.
2. Ability to operate palm sanders.
3. Knowledge of stain and painted colors.
4. Knowledge of finishing steps.
5. Must have the ability to fix, repair and touchup.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Finish Inspection

Starting at: $12.00/hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspect oversize parts and angle frames received from the Finish department. Ensure that they have the appropriate finish and are free from defects.
2. Retain all parts that need to be repaired or refinished and fill out appropriate rework tags to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
3. Distribute the oversize parts to the appropriate locations. Note their location on corresponding paper work.
4. Work closely with Expedite and Staging personnel to identify what oversize pieces may be missing from an order and their possible locations.
5. Locate and/or obtain angle frames and specialty items for the finish inspectors. Note locations and counts on corresponding paperwork.
6. Track and record problem orders, trends in defects, etc.
7. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Knowledge of stains, paints, wood species, common parts used and acceptable quality standards.
2. Ability to differentiate numbers.
3. Possess a basic understanding of cabinet construction.
4. Must possess a good attitude and be a team player.

This position requires continual standing/walking through out a 10-hr shift. Will require lifting of approx. 50-60 plus lbs. Pushing carts approx. 500 plus lbs.

Finish/Hangline

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect all parts coming off the line for defects in the wood, stain and/or finish.
Put tape on any defects and give to final inspection/organizer to take care of.
Take screws out of parts and stack parts in designated carts.
If parts need another coat when going by on the hangline check for flows and sand if needed.
Communicate with hanger and organizer.
Set up orders.
Know paint codes.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Finish/Seal Sand

Starting at: $12.00/hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Putty all spots needed prior to sanding primer.
Lightly sand primer parts with sponges unless defects are found.
Sand sealed parts with either 320 sandpaper on flat surfaces or a sanding sponge that is equivalent to 320 sandpaper on profiled areas and edges.
Fix any voids or cracks when sanding.
Sand out any defects that you may find.
If sanding through paint get to spot primed.
Help with reworks whenever possible.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Finish/Stain

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

After part is sprayed work stain around part working into wood grain then wipe access stain from part.
Check for finished ends, sides, making sure stain is on every where it should be.
Keep up with production flow and quality.
When done with parts on the line help work on molding, oversize, angle frames, etc.
Help with reworks as needed.
Perform some sanding touch up.
Before starting next job pick up all rags and gloves off floor and dispose in proper container.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

1. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
2. Gather and empty trash.
3. Clean, supply and sanitize restrooms.
4. Steam clean or shampoo carpets when needed.
5. Strip, seal, finish and polish floors.
6. Wash accessible interior and exterior windows, clean blinds.
