Candlelight Cabinetry is located in Lockport, NY - thirty minutes outside of Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Founded in 1990 by John Yakich, Candlelight Cabinetry began as a small shop making cabinets for local dealerships. Our uncompromising quality and workmanship have grown our dealer network to over 120 stores. We have earned a reputation for excellence and satisfaction with all of our customers. Cabinetry is designed and built for customers with an appreciation for quality. We build cabinets for any room in your home or office.

Assembly

Starting at: $12.00/hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Initiates paperwork.
Glues and staples cabinet parts to build cabinets using operating press machine and staple guns.
Builds all cabinets.
Keeps a good production flow coordinating any problems with staging, etc.
Communicates with the supervisor concerning the department.
Know all materials that are used in the assembly area.
Build mainly production base and wall units learning correct procedure and techniques.
Capable of building all cabinets.
Operates staple and screw guns.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Ability to communicate clearly both written and orally.
Ability to read blueprints and special drawings.
Knowledge or door styles, wood species, stains, cabinet types, hinges and other common parts.
Ability to differentiate numbers.
Ability to get ideas accepted to guide a group or individual to accomplish a task.
Must possess a good attitude and be a team player.
Regular attendance.
Work overtime as required to meet production demands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Twelve years of general education or equivalent.
Must be able to read a tape measure.
Minimum one year experience working with hand and power tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires continuous standing/walking throughout a 10-hour shift. It requires lifting and carrying cabinets up to approx. 30 lbs. approx. 15 ft.

Doors

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect and sand molding with the use of hand held orbital sander and manual sanding techniques.
Identifies different species of wood and knows how they must be sanded.
Separate molding on carts between paint and stain/natural.
Pull Rush molding daily and prep for production.
Perform duties in an efficient and quality manner.
Fills out inventory adjustment sheets.
Check molding profiles with sample blocks for correct size/count.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of different wood species.
Knowledge of sanding techniques.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Ability to recognize molding styles.
Help sort freight when it arrives.
Cross train for seal sanding.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires continuous standing /walking throughout a 10-hour shift. It requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing a cart up to 100 lbs.

Finish/Flatline

Starting at: $12.00/hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sort moldings and panels as they come off the line and put in the designated area.
Unloads doors, veneers, moldings from flatline machine onto carts.
Responsible to keep parts and carts organized.
Assist in routine cleaning.
Be able to differentiate between sealer and top coat.
Make sure specialties are not sent out when not finished.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires continuous standing throughout a 10-hour shift. It requires frequent lifting/carrying objects up to approx. 50 lbs., assisted lifting of 60+ lbs. and pushing of carts over 100 lbs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Do weekly inventory and keep supply room rotated and organized.
2. To plan, execute and document daily paint mixing operations within the finishing department.
3. To become an expert at preparation, properties (physical/chemical) and performance of paint products.
4. Monitor waste to ensure compliance with company and environmental policies and regulations.
5. Assist in routine maintenance and cleaning.
6. Become proficient at running a Cefla Flatline Finish system.
7. Support quality control by providing support/advice on product composition and performance issues.
8. Ensure that the work is performed in full compliance with established OSHA safety standards.
9. Do this job in a clean and efficient manner.
10. Proper labeling of all containers.
11. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

This position requires continual standing/walking throughout a 10-hour shift. It requires frequent lifting/carrying of objects up to approx. 40-80 lbs. throughout the day.

Finish/Seal Sand

Starting at: $12.00/hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Putty all spots needed prior to sanding primer.
Lightly sand primer parts with sponges unless defects are found.
Sand sealed parts with either 320 sandpaper on flat surfaces or a sanding sponge that is equivalent to 320 sandpaper on profiled areas and edges.
Fix any voids or cracks when sanding.
Sand out any defects that you may find.
If sanding through paint get to spot primed.
Help with reworks whenever possible.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of sanding techniques.
Ability to operate palm sanders.
Must possess a good attitude and be a team player.
Regular attendance required.
Work overtime as required to meet production demands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Twelve years of general education or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires continuous standing in one place throughout a 10-hour shift. It requires frequent lifting/carrying objects up to approx. 20 lbs. Periodic assisted lifting of up to 60 lbs.

Cut and pre-assemble cabinet components from computer generated cut lists.
Operates various power tools and machinery.
Keeps work areas clean of debris and organized.
Keep team leader advised of inventory levels.
Responsible for the timely completion of orders to meet daily production goals.
Adhere to quality practices checking your work for quality at all times.
7. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Knowledge of woodworking equipment.
Knowledge of safety policies.

Knowledge of math/good math aptitude.
