First, wood is selected by hand for color and grain uniformity to meet the level of Select. Then it proceeds through multiple hand-sanding, cleaning, staining and sealing processes. Discover Select Hardwoods
At Candlelight, we prefer deliberate care to random selection. That's the reason we hand select the woods used in our cabinetry. Desired aesthetics determine the selection process. For example, for a clean, refined look, we select woods with only minimum tolerance of character marks: knots, mineral deposits, etc. However, for a more rustic look, woods with attractive character are carefully chosen. Ask your designer for the exact "Select" specifications for the wood of your choice.
